I’m a journalist, copywriter and translator based in the United Arab Emirates. Originally hailing from Austria via the United Kingdom, I moved to Abu Dhabi in October 2009 in the hope of increasing my chances of both regular sunshine and employment.
This blog is a crossbreed between portfolio, sounding board and erratic notebook. I like stories about travel, media, technology, culture, sustainability, current affairs and life, mostly from the Middle East, Britain, Austria and the Maldives.
Luckily, I sometimes end up getting paid for being the nosy stickler that I am and have had the pleasure of working for Monocle, Wanderlust, Sunday Times Travel and brownbook.
