I’m a journalist, copywriter and translator, originally hailing from Austria via London. I relocated to Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, in October 2009 in the hope of increasing my chances of obtaining both sunshine and employment.
This blog is a crossbreed between portfolio, sounding board and erratic notebook. I like stories about travel, media, culture, sustainability, current affairs and life, mostly from the Middle East, Britain, Austria and the Maldives.
Luckily, I sometimes end up getting paid for being a nosy stickler and have had the pleasure of working for Monocle, Wanderlust, Sunday Times Travel and brownbook.
