Bend it like Beckham in the Westbank
Just came across this beautifully-written article about the first ever international women’s football match in the Westbank, which took place this week. Palestine was playing Jordan, they drew 2-2. Facts aside, this is a good read.
Now, I don’t much like football, but I can’t help liking its strangely powerful potential for breaking all sorts of barriers.
